MILK: MOMS I'D LIKE TO KNOW

MILK Podcast Season 3 - Lost and Found - starts Now!

MILK Podcast talks to moms with honesty and humor about what it's like to evolve as a person after becoming a mother. Our conversations help us feel less isolated, less competitive, and more tethered to each other.

Yesterday I ran the Brooklyn Half Marathon. It had been a long time since I had run this kind of mileage (like 20 + years), and I had made it a goal this past spring to train for it, 1.) to see if I could do it, and 2.) to do something productive for my mental and physical health. So many things have gone haywire over the past few years. Plans, professional goals, personal stuff, terrible world events, politics, etc. I had taken a break from making a podcast about moms that inspired me because it became untenable to do so during the pandemic and beyond. Besides the practical piece of creating “content” more of less without compensation, the lack of desire to promote myself, and a shift in how i relate to this new phase of being a mother to my own children - these have all been factors in my decision to cease making MILK podcast. I’ve gotten into many other ways to connect with inspiring people in my community since then, and this race was a goal that used a totally different part of my brain to prepare for, and I’m so glad I did it. Watch this space for the next move from MILK Productions and enjoy some images from yesterday where I cheesed out and high-fived people and cried rounding the corner to the finish line. #milkproductions #momsidliketoknow
